Riverside Prayer Ministry was born in September 2010 by Rev. Faustina Mantey. During her spiritual retreat, God showed her a vision of many women from many different countries and backgrounds having a hunger to pray for the needs and issues affecting women and their families in our world today. God then told Rev. (Mrs) Mantey that through this Prayer Ministry, He will reveal Himself to those who will be obedient to come together in unity to pray by meeting their own needs as well as that of their friends and loved ones. After much prayer and determination Riverside Prayer Ministry finally became a reality.
The name 'Riverside' is unique and taken from the book of Acts 16: 13-19, where other women left the noise of the city and retreated to the riverside to pray. The Lord performed wonders amongst them, especially when the Holy Spirit opened the heart of Lydia to accept Jesus when Paul preached to them. The river In this context represents the Holy Spirit.
Riverside Prayer Ministry's goal is to get all women, including those in Disciples Revival Church to come together and pray. To intercede for the needs of the world as a whole, and for individual needs. The following is a summary of the prayer points that we currently focus on:
Riverside plans to have retreats, vigils and seminars on prayer so that women will learn how to improve their prayer lives and be able to pray specifically for the needs at hand.
